What To Expect at Water Tank Service

When was the last time you had your water tank serviced? (Have you ever had a professional take a look at your water tank?) To keep your water tank functioning properly, we at Ackerson Pump Company of Sussex, NJ recommend that you have your tank serviced every two to three years. Here’s what you can expect during your water tank service appointment.

1. Part replacement

We take a thorough look at your water tank and replace worn or defective parts as needed. Water tank parts that we typically replace include the switch, gauge, release valve, and any other parts that are coming to the end of their life.

2. Check water tank functions

At Ackerson Pump Company, we want to help you keep your water tank and water pump functioning in peak condition as long as possible. At your service appointment, we will monitor your tank’s functions and make sure things are working properly.

3. Air charge the tank

To keep water flowing properly throughout your home, water tanks need to maintain a certain water-to-air-pressure balance. (Check out the video below for more info on how water tanks work in the home.) Our technicians can check your water tank pressure and charge your tank as needed.

Do you and your home a favor: Prolong the life of your water pressure tank by getting your regular service appointment. To schedule your water tank service, contact Ackerson Pump Company of NJ at (973) 827-6088. We serve New Jersey customers throughout Sussex County, Bergen County, and Morris County.
